Warrington Wolves signing Luke Yates has joined the club immediately from Huddersfield Giants, bringing forward his move for 2025, announced in May.
The 29-year-old loose forward had been set to join the Wire on a two-year deal from the beginning of next season.
Yates joins his fourth Super League club having previously had spells with London Broncos and Salford Red Devils following his move from Australia from 2019.
“I’m really excited for the challenge," he said. "The opportunity came up to head over to Warrington early and I want to play my part now in contributing to what can hopefully be a successful end to the season for the club.
“To have the opportunity to work with and learn from Sam [Burgess] is massive for me.
“There’s a great roster here and I’m excited now to get amongst it and pull on the Warrington jersey.”
Before his move to the Halliwell Jones Stadium, Yates had captained the Giants and made 89 appearances in three-and-a-half seasons with the club.
