Mellor extends Castleford contract to end of 2027

Alex Mellor has scored two tries in 10 Super League games in 2025

Castleford Tigers have extended the contract of Alex Mellor until the end of the 2027 season.

The 30-year-old second-row forward has played 59 Super League games for the Tigers since joining from Leeds Rhinos in 2022.

"The club is working hard on and off the field and I'm excited to be a part of the process for the next three years," he said.

"I can't wait to see where we can take this great club."

Castleford are currently 10th in Super League and are at home to Leeds Rhinos on Saturday (14:30 BST).
