Tai to leave Warrington as Stone joins from Salford

Warrington Wolves centre Rodrick Tai is leaving the club, while Sam Stone will join from Salford Red Devils for the 2026 season.
Tai, 26, scored 13 tries in 41 appearances after signing from PNG Hunters but will not return next year.
Australian forward Stone joined the Wire on loan from Salford in June this year and scored three tries in 12 Super League appearances and now joins a on a two-year deal.
Meanwhile, Tevita Pangai Jr will now not join the club, having previously signed from Catalans Dragons for 2026 earlier this year.
In a statement, Warrington said Pangai Jr had informed them he no longer wished to join for next season.
"While we are disappointed, the club accepts his decision, as we remain committed to building a squad of players who are fully invested in the club and its ambitions," the statement added., external
In a busy spell of restructuring, Toby King, Jake Thewlis, Sam Powell and Jordy Crowther have all signed new contracts while Alfie Johnson has left to join Championship side Halifax Panthers.
Thewlis, who scored 14 tries in 19 appearances on the wing, has signed a two-year deal, King and Powell have signed new one-year deals, while Crowther has signed until the end of the 2027 season.
