Workington Town set up a third round meeting with 2023 winners Leigh Leopards after a comfortable win over the Royal Navy in Portsmouth.

Jonny Hutton scored a hat-trick for the Cumbrians and Rio Corkill added two more as they ran in 11 tries against the services side.

Ollie Brookes notched four tries - his first professional hat-trick - as North Wales Crusaders booked a place in the third round of the Betfred Challenge Cup with a 52-0 thrashing of fellow League One side Cornwall in Penryn.

In difficult conditions at the Memorial Ground, the Crusaders took control early on against their fellow League One side.

Kieran Taylor also bagged a hat-trick as Crusaders set up a home tie against seven-time winners Widnes Vikings.

The Roughyeds will face Barrow Raiders, who were far too strong for Crosfield, running out 86-6 winners in Cumbria.

Jake Sweeting set up Midlands Hurricanes for a home tie against Salford Red Devils with 18 points as Halifax-based amateur side Siddal were seen off 46-0 in Birmingham.

Max Dudley's try and Sean Leicester's conversion gave National Conference side Thatto Heath a shock early 6-4 lead at Halifax Panthers but the Championship side hit back to earn a home tie against Catalans Dragons with a 48-6 victory.

Ince Rose Bridge won 34-12 at fellow amateurs Blackbrook to set up a trip to Championship side Featherstone.
