Huddersfield Giants have agreed a new contract with young half-back George Flanagan Jr.

The 20-year-old has signed a deal until the end of the 2027 season after making a fine start to his career.

Flanagan has played Super League four games this season, scoring tries against Wigan Warriors and Hull KR and kicking four goals.

"Really excited that George has committed his future to us, we see a lot of potential in him, he's showed his promise in a team that's going through a sticky patch," Giants head coach Luke Robinson told the club's website, external.

As well a new deal for Flanagan, Huddersfield have also brought in 22-year-old hooker Bill Leyland on a two-week loan from Hull KR.

The Giants currently prop up Super League, having lost all six league games so far in 2025.
