St Helens winger Jon Bennison has signed a one-year contract extension for the 2025 Super League season.

Bennison, 21, scored a try in the 2022 Grand Final win over Leeds Rhinos and made 24 appearances last season.

"Jon is a player that really does add value and drives those standards that we value," Saints head coach Paul Wellens told the club website., external

Bennison is one of four players to agree deals for next year along with versatile back Ben Davies, hooker Jake Burns, both 24, and teenager Will Roberts, 19, a half-back who is yet to make his senior debut.

Bennison made his Saints debut as an 18-year-old in 2021 and has gone on to play 64 times in Super League, scoring 17 tries.

Davies has just come off a breakthrough season, playing 25 times and establishing himself in the Saints team.

It was only in July that Burns made his senior St Helens debut, but his form across the second half of the season has earned him an extension.

Roberts, meanwhile, returned from a serious knee injury in 2023 to add competition to the other half-backs at the Totally Wicked Stadium.
