St Helens have signed winger Lewis Murphy on a two-year contract ahead of the 2025 season.

English winger Murphy, 22, has spent the year in Australia with NRL side Sydney Roosters.

Before that, he had played two seasons with Wakefield Trinity in Super League, although his 2023 campaign was marred by an ACL injury.

He is Saints' third new arrival for next year, along with Tristan Sailor and Kyle Feldt.

Saints are fourth in this year's Super League, with three matches of the regular season remaining.

Murphy scored 17 tries in the league in his debut season, including four in a match against St Helens - something which has not been forgotten by head coach Paul Wellens.

"We found out to our cost a couple of seasons ago how good he can be when he scored those four tries against us," he told the official club website, external.

"I’m sure he is going to thrive in our environment and will be a player that is going to excite fans."
