It's not an insurmountable lead but at this stage it just shows how Hull KR have come up with the goods despite losing one of their key players.

    Jack Broadbent, goal Jez Litten

Peta Hiku slams into a Hull FC tackle, and with defenders hanging off the centre he spins around and pops a wonderful pass inside for Sam Luckley.

The prop then works the ball back out for Jack Broadbent to scamper off for his third try of the season.

And with his third successful conversion of the afternoon, Jez Litten boots Hull KR further aherad.

While I point out how unyielding Rovers' defence has been, it’s only right that I also mention how red hot their attack has been.

They have managed 21 tries in their past three matches. That’s only a staggering average of seven a game.

Tom Briscoe finds himself under pressure as he mops up a Robins kick near his line, and the hosts are again playing themselves out of danger.

    Hull FC 0-12 Hull KR

Hull FC marched forward with real purpose in attack before they were stunned by those two Rovers tries.

But unpicking Hull KR's defence has been hard going for just about everyone this season.

They have conceded just 14 points in total in their past five matches, nilling their opponents on three occasions in that run.

It's suddenly looking like hard going for the hosts.

  8. try

TRY: Hull FC 0-12 Hull KRpublished at 27 mins

    Joe Burgess, goal Jez Litten

    The try counts!

A searching kick goes up and Hull FC players are caught out just watching it bounce in the afternoon sun.

Joe Burgess, however, doesn't hesitate is come steaming in to clutch the ball after it bounces kindly and he dashes over untouched.

Again Jez Litten is on the money with the conversion.

Hull KR might just have come up with their second try in three minutes.

Joe Burgess is the flying winger to finish, but the decision heads up stairs to the television match official.

  12. try

TRY: Hull FC 0-6 Hull KRpublished at 24 mins

    Tom Davies, goal Jez Litten

    Hull KR strike first!

The visitors are gifted the ball back after Hull FC's Aiden Sezer failed to play the ball correctly.

Kelepi Tanginoa does damage with his run and Robins captain Elliot Minchella is involved before Peta Hiku dishes the ball out to Tom Davies to dive over in the right corner.

Jez Litten is successful with his kick from way out on the touchline to add to the advantage.

Still, Hull KR remain on the attack.

They go to run it on the last tackle through Kelepi Tanginoa but he is taken down short of the line.

The Robins hand the ball over, and the wait for the first points in this derby continues.

  14. MISSED PENALTYpublished at 20 mins

Jez Litten stands over the ball and composes himself.

His effort, however, is off target and it remains 0-0 as we reach the midway point of the first half.

Hull KR's Kelepi Tanginoa is the latest to try skip his way into some clear air down the left side.

He, however, is cut down with a high high hit. The penalty is given.

The Robins call for the tee and are going for the two points...

Neither side has managed to come up with a deadlock-breaking moment, but Hull KR have suffered a huge setback with Mikey Lewis limping off.

The 2024 Super League Man of Steel appears to have suffered a groin injury, and he shakes his head in frustration as he makes his way to the sideline.

  17. Postpublished at 15 mins

The errors just keep coming from both sides.

Hull KR get themselves in all sort of trouble by surrendering possession just a few metres from their own line.

Hull FC try to pick a hold on the Robins defence, but the ball doesn't stick and they knock just a few metres out.

The tempo of this game is relentless right now.

  18. Postpublished at 13 mins

    Hull FC 0-0 Hull KR

Hull FC have taken full advantage, and some, after being let off by Elliot Minchella.

They chew up the metres, and go from defending their own tryline to trying to force their way over.

They go for it on the last with Davy Litten trying to force his way over, but he is held just short.
