    Turnaround complete.

Jack Welsby and George Williams are heavily involved, but it is Ash Handley who applies the finish following a burst of pace down the right.

Credit to debutant Elliot Minchella, who got the move going with a smart take from the French kick and incisive passing.

Harry Smith can't convert this time.

    More like it!

Tom Johnstone is the live wire, busting through the defence before laying off Jack Welsby who touches down in the left corner.

The TMO checked it in case Welsby was pushed into touch first, but he managed to get the ball down right by the flag. Superb athleticism.

Harry Smith sneaks over the conversion too. England back within striking distance.

If I’m England, I’m trying to move Bousquet and Navarrete around, and then when you find Da Costa, stay on him. I’m trying to find a kick that puts France under pressure.

    France 6-0 England

Really good kick for distance by Harry Smith, which just creeps into touch.

France are already taking every second they can before restarting the play.

    France 6-0 England

Nearly quarter of an hour played, and England have not had a sniff.

Much for stand-in coach Andy Last to ponder.

    France 6-0 England

While shaky in defence, France are asking all sorts of questions in attack.

A very sharp brubber kick by Cesar Rouge puts England on the back foot behind their own goal line, and Jack Welsby does well to kill the ball under pressure from three men.

    France 6-0 England

Despite their early lead, France do look to have weaknesses.

Full back Arthur Mourgue completely misses a high England kick, but gets away with it as Harry Newman is penalised for a foul.

Replays show Mourgue is a lucky boy, Newman didn't touch him.

    France 6-0 England

Knock on by Arthur Mourgue, just as France looked to be building a strong attack again.

The first mistake by the hosts, and precious respite for the under-pressure English.

    France 6-0 England

France have absolutely come to play. England are having to work very hard in their own half.

But now they get out with a really good kick from Harry Smith, which is gathered by Jack Welsby. Precious territory gained.

    Long way to go, though.

  16. CONVERTED TRY - France 6-0 Englandpublished at 17:07 29 June

    Fouad Yaha (3 mins)

    Well, well, well.

A clever bouncing kick by Arthur Mourgue turns England around and leaves a three on three. Fouad Yaha chases it down and scores in the corner!

Shaun Wane, watching from his hospital bed, will not be impressed.

After a long check from the video official, it is confirmed that Yaha's finish is good. It is converted from the touchline too. Perfect start from France.
