Great work from Lachlan Lam. Leigh just didn't get back onside quick enough, but I don't think they'll be too unhappy about giving up a penalty there.

Sometimes it's better to give away two points than four which would have become six.

Adam Keighran takes his time after pointing to the post.

He is right in front and makes no mistake.

    Wigan 10-0 Leigh

This is simply amazing from Wigan, as they turn goalline defence into a try-scoring opportunity of their own.

Abbas Miski intercepts a pass from Leigh's Ricky Leutele and he blasts away upfield.

He makes it about 70 metres before he is caught.

The danger, however, is not over as a penalty is awarded soon after.

I think Wigan might go for the two here...

    Wigan 10-0 Leigh

For the first time today, Leigh are managing to build a period of sustained pressure.

A grubber kick from Ricky Leutele is rushed dead by Wigan's cover defence.

Leigh will come again now from a goalline drop-out.

  5. 'Just don't lift!'published at 18:02 British Summer Time 5 October

    Wigan 10-0 Leigh

    Robbie Hunter-Paul
Former New Zealand international on BBC Two

The rule is you can't go above the horizontal. Just don't lift! It looks a lot worse than it actually is.

Importantly, it's another penalty given away by Leigh in the Wigan half.

    Wigan 10-0 Leigh

Upstaging Wigan from here would be a truly seismic result for Leigh tonight.

To get to their first Super League Grand Final, they would have to win for the first time at Wigan for 41 years!

As for their track record in 2024 to date, Wigan have come out on top in their three (yes, three) Super League meetings so far.

  7. Postpublished at 21 mins

    Wigan 10-0 Leigh

It's merciless out there at the minute.

Leigh are keen to remind Wigan that they will not roll over in this semi-final, and Edwin Ipape goes a bit too hard at it.

He is penalised for a dangerous tackle on Junior Nsembe.

  8. Walters 'getting better and better'published at 17:58 British Summer Time 5 October

    Wigan 10-0 Leigh

The great thing about Sam Walters is he's just at the start of his journey.

This guy is just going to get better and better.

And Sam Walters' try does count!

After Junior Nsembe softened Leigh up, the ball is moved to Bevan French, who then sends Walters through a slither of a gap.

He has two Leopards tacklers hanging off him, but he stretches over to ground the ball.

Adam Keighran lands the conversion to extend Wigan's lead.

  10. TRY REVIEWpublished at 18 mins

    Wigan 4-0 Leigh

Wigan are over again, but we are going up to the television match official to see if this one counts.

  11. Postpublished at 17 mins

    Wigan 4-0 Leigh

Leigh have more defending to do deep in their half now.

Matt Moylan is crunched by a tackle from Adam Keighran and spills the ball.

It hands the ball back to the Warriors.

  12. Postpublished at 14 mins

    Wigan 4-0 Leigh

Leigh have done well to limit the damage in the past few minutes, but Wigan are working them hard.

These will be energy-sapping moments for the visitors.

  13. Leopards must 'slow the game down'published at 17:50 British Summer Time 5 October

    Wigan 4-0 Leigh

    Robbie Hunter-Paul
Former New Zealand international on BBC Two

The Leopards have to manage the game properly. Kick the ball out, walk to the scrum.

They have to slow the game down at the moment.

  14. Postpublished at 12 mins

    Wigan 4-0 Leigh

Wigan come back from the restart like a cherry and white wave.

They almost go coast-to-coast looking for a quick second try, but Leigh hold strong to keep them out.

  15. 'Typical of Wigan'published at 17:47 British Summer Time 5 October

    Wigan 4-0 Leigh

    Robbie Hunter-Paul
Former New Zealand international on BBC Two

    So, so cool.

That happened because Wigan are so patient.

Absolutely brilliant and typical of Wigan's Super League winning style of play.

    Wigan lead!

The hosts work Leigh's defence from a few different angles, then when they have the Leopards stretched they shift it out left to Liam Marshall.

Super League's leading try scorer has acres of space to exploit and dives over in the corner.

Jai Field steps up to the tee, but can't add the conversion.

  17. Postpublished at 9 mins

    Wigan 0-0 Leigh

After rattling through a set of six each, Wigan have a huge chance to land an opening blow.

Bevan French chips a delightful kick over the top, and Matt Moylan fumbles as he tries to collect.

The knock-on has Wigan knocking hard on the door now.

Wigan run it on the last down the right, but Leigh's defence is well organised and keep the hosts out.

The Brick Community Stadium was buzzing with anticipation there.

  19. Postpublished at 7mins

In a flash, it's Wigan on the attack and building pressure.

The hosts are awarded a repeat set of six and are now camped about 10m from the line...
