Connacht's record try-scoring winger Fionn Carr is rejoining Leinster for the 2011-12 season.

Lock Damian Browne, of French club CA Brive, is also moving to Leinster on a one-year contract.

Hooker Richardt Strauss, back row Dominic Ryan, centre Brendan Macken and fly-half Ian Madigan have all extended their contracts with the province.

Half-backs John Cooney and Ian McKinley have signed their first professional deals for Joe Schmidt's men.

Leinster Academy graduate Carr joined Connacht in 2008 and became their highest try scorer with 34 tries in 72 Magners League and Amlin Challenge Cup games.

Galway native Browne has played for Ireland Under-21s, Connacht and Northampton Saints.

"Damian and Fionn have the potential to make an impression over the coming season," said coach Schmidt.
