Launceston hooker Darren Semmens signs for Redruth

Semmens played for three seasons at Polson Bridge

Redruth have signed hooker Darren Semmens from Cornish rivals Launceston for the 2011-12 National One campaign.

The 23-year-old joined Launceston in May 2008 from the now defunct Mounts Bay and scored two tries for the Cornish All Blacks last season.

"I really hope he enjoys his time with us," Redruth director of rugby Dave Penberthy told the club website.

"It certainly strengthens our position at hooker now and I feel the squad is almost complete."
