Petrarca 3-34 Newcastle Falcons
- Published
Newcastle Falcons made it two wins out of two in the European Challenge Cup Pool 2 as they eased to victory in Northern Italy against Petrarca.
First-half tries from outside centre Jamie Helleur and stand-off Jeremy Manning set them on their way.
Flanker Tim Swinson (2), winger Ryan Shortland and second-half replacement Joe Graham then all crossed after the break to wrap up victory.
Petrarca's only response was a 53rd minute penalty from Eoghan Hickey.
New Falcons signings Suka Hufanga, Adriaan Fondse and Taiasina Tui'fua missed out as they are not registered to play.
But Alan Tait's men still had more than enough in hand to build on last weekend's opening 27-19 victory over Lyon Olympique.
