Nottingham sign winger Rhys Crane

Crane has been out of action for 19 months

Nottingham have signed former Sale Sharks winger Rhys Crane.

Crane, 26, who left Sale in May, external, has been training with the Green & Whites after 19 months out with a knee injury.

Director of rugby Glenn Delaney said: "Rhys has played some high-level rugby. He's now back fit and we always intended to sign him."

Crane added: "It's been a testing time being out so long. Everyone at the club has been hugely supportive. I'm looking forward to getting out on the pitch."

The winger, who has also played for Bath and had a 12-month stint in Brisbane, Australia playing for Brothers will be in contention to face Esher on Friday night.
