Leicester Tigers have appointed Simon Cohen as chief executive.
Cohen joined the board of directors in 2011 as acting chief operating officer, having previously been head of rugby operations from 2005.
He said: "Sport is constantly changing and to be involved at the heart of that is one of the great attractions."
Executive chairman Peter Tom said: "His appointment reflects his wealth of knowledge, commitment and determination to drive Leicester forward."
"Simon has a huge amount of experience in the game, dealing with the financial side as well as working closely with the coaching management teams and players."
