Newport Gwent Dragons have confirmed that forwards coach Danny Wilson will leave for pastures new at the end of the season.

The Dragons have released a statement saying Wilson will "take up a post with an undisclosed team at the end of the season".

He has been head coach Darren Edwards' right hand man since 2010.

Wilson is Wales Under-20 coach and will lead them at the Junior World Championships in South Africa in June.

"We would like to thank Danny for his contribution to the region and we wish him well in his future career," said Rob Beale, the Dragons' director of rugby.

Wilson said: "I've thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Dragons.

"I'd like to thank the region for the opportunities offered to me and wish them the best of luck for next season and beyond."

The Dragons' season ends when they host Leinster in the Pro12 League at Rodney Parade on Saturday.
