Australia v Wales: Aaron Shingler suffers dead leg injury

Aaron Shingler is to return from Wales' tour to Australia as the back row forward is suffering with a dead leg.

Shingler was hurt in , external on 12 June and joins wing Aled Brew and number eight Toby Faletau in returning home early.

Brew bruised a hip in the first-half against the Brumbies in Canberra while Faletau broke a bone in a hand.

Centre Jamie Roberts and hooker Huw Bennett did not not travel to Australia because of knee and Achilles injuries.

Melbourne Rebels back-rower Gareth Delve replaced Faletau in the Wales squad but the Welsh Rugby Union have confirmed that no new players will be added to a squad that is trimmed to 32 players.

Dan Lydiate, meanwhile, is carrying an injury and it has already been confirmed that the Newport Gwent Dragons blindside flanker will undergo surgery in an attempt to solve a persistent ankle problem when he returns from Wales' three-Test tour to Australia.

Delve, meanwhile, is struggling with a knee injury sustained in , external and was not available for second for Wales' second Test in Melbourne.
