Newport Gwent Dragons ensured that London Welsh ended their LV= Cup campaign winless with a 14-42 victory at the Kassam Stadium.

The Exiles led 9-6 at half-time, with three penalties from Ryan Davis edging two by Dragons fly-half Steffan Jones.

Dragons upped the tempo after the break with three tries from Hallam Amos, Ieuan Jones and Jevon Groves, although Ed Williamson did cross for Welsh.

Both sides were already out of contention for the semi-finals.

Welsh were able to name Gavin Henson on the bench after a lengthy period out because of a calf injury and the Wales back came on for the final 25 minutes.
