Newcastle Falcons have agreed new two-year contracts with centre Adam Powell and prop Kieran Brookes.

Powell, 26, has played three times since signing a short-term deal in March after being released by Saracens.

Brookes, 22, rejoined the club on dual-registration terms from Leicester last month after making 40 appearances for Newcastle between 2009 and 2011.

"Both are quality acquisitions and part of what we're trying to do long-term," director of rugby Dean Richards said.

"Adam and Kieran can see the plans we have for this club. I am thrilled that they have signed for us and I am very much looking forward to working with them," he added.
