Bath-bound England under-20 loose forward David Sisi has said he faces a stern test just to make it into the club's matchday squad.

The former London Irish player will move to The Recreation Ground following the Junior World Championships in France.

Sisi said: "It's going to be a huge challenge to get into the matchday 23.

"I'm under no illusions of the challenge but it's something I'm really looking forward to."

Sisi, 20, is part of an influx of young London Irish players to Bath this summer. His fellow England under-20 international Anthony Watson, England centre Jonathan Joseph and lock Matt Garvey are all heading west to be reunited with former Exiles coaches Toby Booth and Neal Hatley.

Sisi told BBC Radio Bristol: "In my position at Bath there are guys like Carl Fearns and Francois Louw - they are huge players who I'll be looking to learn off.

"Going in and playing with these guys will only benefit me over the long term.

"I'm still young and up and coming and by no means the finished article. I know what the coaches offer at Bath, I know what the facilities offer and I know what players like that can offer me.

"If I can even be in a position to be competing with players like that then I'm going to be in a good place as I look to progress my rugby career,"

Sisi, who is set to feature in England's final pool game in the Junior World Championships on Thursday against the United States, added: "I am hugely excited about moving to Bath.

"All the guys I have spoken to at Bath - young guys coming through like Will Spencer and Ollie Devoto - have said they are really happy at Bath and they believe the club is going somewhere over the next few years. I can't wait to get started."
