Mark Anscombe demands end to Ulster 'excuses' after defeat

Ulster coach Mark Anscombe demanded that his players "stop making excuses" after Friday's latest Pro12 defeat by Glasgow at Ravenhill.
After losing their opener against the Dragons, Ulster squandered a series of try-scoring chances as James Eddie's late try earned Glasgow a 13-12 win.
"We need to front up and do what needs to be done," said an angry Anscombe.
"Now we're sitting at the bottom of the table after two rounds. We've got to do something about that."
Anscombe added that his team, after dominating possession during the contest, should have won by "about 20 points".
"We left three or four tries out there. We played some good rugby at times but we weren't good enough to put the points on the board.
"Skill execution was appalling at times. We had three golden opportunities for tries. All we had to do was catch a ball on two of them and deliver a pass on the other.
"Some of the opting taking was poor and then we got lazy in the last few minutes."
Anscombe added that Ulster's dismal start to the season makes next week's away clash against Connacht a "huge" match.
"I said to the guys feeling sorry for themselves to take responsibility for the work that we've got to do during the week."
