Three tries in the first 16 minutes paved the way for Bristol's 26-17 win at Jersey.

Ruki Tipuna's touch down set the visitors on their way and then his quick thinking saw Tristan Roberts go over in the corner.

Roberts' second opened up a 19-0 lead and Ryan Edwards' score after the break secured the bonus point.

Jersey came back into the game with tries from in-form winger Ed Dawson and forward Nick Selway.

The hosts searched for a losing bonus-point, but a late Niall O'Connor penalty attempt from distance drifted wide.
