London Welsh inflict first Plymouth Albion defeat

Plymouth Albion went down to their first defeat of the season at relegated London Welsh.

The visitors' Dan Mugford put over two early penalties as Welsh led 16-9 at the break thanks to a try by former Albion man Mike Denby.

After the break Dan Brown, Ollie Steadman and Gordon Ross all ran in for Welsh on top of a penalty try.

Albion were down to 13 players at one point with Ien Ashcroft-Leigh following Sean-Michael Stephen into the sinbin.
