Plymouth Albion's Sam Matavesi has been called up by Fiji for their matches against Romania and the Barbarians.

The Cornish flanker won his first cap in the summer against Canada in the Pacific Nations Cup.

The 21-year-old has spent the last two weeks on loan at National Two South side Redruth having found it difficult to break into the Albion side.

Matavesi, whose brother Josh plays for Worcester, has also played for Camborne, Racing Metro and Cornwall.
