Newcastle Falcons: Rob Vickers signs new one-year deal
- Published
Newcastle Falcons front-row forward Rob Vickers has signed a new contract until the summer of 2015, stretching his stay at Kingston Park to nine seasons.
The 32-year-old has spent his entire career with the club, and his deal was due to expire at the end of this term.
A former England Saxons hooker, the majority of Vickers's 20 starts this term have come at loose-head prop.
"Micky Ward as scrum coach and John Wells for the lineout have been vital for learning a new position," he said.
"I'm looking forward to continuing the transition. I've played my entire professional career here and I'm delighted to stay."
