Toby Flood: Toulouse confirm signing of Leicester Tigers fly-half

French side Toulouse have confirmed Leicester and England fly-half Toby Flood will join them from next season.
The 28-year-old was heavily linked with a move to the Top 14 side in December when Tigers boss Richard Cockerill revealed that Flood would leave the club at the end of the campaign.
The fly-half moved to Welford Road from Newcastle in 2008 and has made 113 appearances for the Tigers.
"The club symbolises French rugby," Flood told the Toulouse club website., external
"I have found many similarities between the history in Toulouse and Leicester, which is one of the reasons that made me want to join this club."
Flood won 60 England caps before his decision to move to France was made public last year, with Stuart Lancaster dropping Leicester's captain from the England elite squad ahead of the Six Nations based on their policy of not selecting overseas players.
In November, Flood became the 13th player to reach 1,000 Premiership points after scoring 10 against London Irish.
He has scored more than 1,299 points in all competitions and won three Premiership titles with Leicester.
"He has been a very important player for us and he will continue to be an important player for us for the rest of this season before he moves to France," Cockerill told the club website., external
