England fly-half Toby Flood has denied he has decided to quit Leicester Tigers following increasing speculation he has agreed to join French side Toulouse.

Tigers said earlier this month that they hoped to persuade the 28-year-old to extend his five-year stay.

The club said they expected a decision in the new year.

Flood, who has won 60 England caps, tweeted:, external "To confirm, I've not agreed to anything and as I've said before I will decide in January. Thanks."

Flood had been linked with Toulon, but according to reports in France, Toulouse are now favourites to secure his signature., external

Were he to move to France it would effectively rule him out of playing for England in the 2015 World Cup on home soil as the Rugby Football Union has banned foreign-based players from representing England unless as an emergency measure.
