Northampton prop Salesi Ma'afu will miss the Amlin Challenge Cup final after getting a one-week ban for punching Leicester's Tom Youngs in Friday's Premiership semi-final.

Ma'afu will be free for the Premiership final against Saracens on 31 May.

The Australian, who must also pay £500 costs, was sent off in the 57th minute of Saints' 21-20 win against Leicester at Franklin's Gardens.

Northampton play Bath in Friday's Cup final at Cardiff Arms Park.

Leicester Tigers fly-half Owen Williams also faces punishment for making contact with the eyes or eye area of Saints centre Luther Burrell in the same match. However he must wait to discover his fate after his hearing was adjourned.
