Cornish Pirates have loaned 21-year-old winger Alex Ducker to National Two South rivals Launceston.

Ducker has yet to make a first-team appearance for the Championship club since transferring in the summer from South West One West side Camborne.

He scored four tries in five pre-season games for the Pirates this summer.

Ducker will have to wait to make his debut as he is not likely to be involved in the side that will take on Southend on Saturday.

"He's only come up to training this week and he's new to the squad and is settling in, but in the next few weeks you may see a glimpse of him for the first team," director of rugby Neil Bayliss told BBC Radio Cornwall.

"I spoke with Ian Davies down at Pirates and they were looking to give Alex some game time.

"He's come up to us this week and played for our seconds on Tuesday night.

"He looks a livewire and we're probably lacking a bit of pace out wide so he will be a good resource to have for us and we have him on loan for the foreseeable future."
