London Irish tighthead prop Jamie Hagan has rejoined Pro12 side Leinster on a three-month loan.

Hagan had two spells with Leinster either side of two years with Connacht before joining London Irish in 2013.

The 27-year-old made his international debut on Ireland's tour of North America in 2013.

"Jamie has had limited game time so this season and will now get a chance with Leinster over the coming months," said Exiles chief Brian Smith.

Hagan will provide cover for Ed Byrne, who suffered a knee injury in Leinster's Pro12 game against Edinburgh.

"The injury forced our hand but we are delighted to be able to call on a player the calibre of Jamie, who is a full Irish international but crucially knows the set up here, knows the players and what is expected of him at Leinster," head coach Matt O'Connor told the Leinster website., external
