Jersey boss Harvey Biljon says his side will approach their final British and Irish Cup match at Carmarthen Quins professionally, despite being all but out of the competition.

Jersey's one-point loss to Leinster A means they are unlikely to qualify as one of the three best runners-up.

"We're not concerned about the dead rubber," Biljon told BBC Radio Jersey.

"Every game we play is about our professional preparation and our professional attitude."

But the Jersey boss was keen to praise his side, who he felt should have come away with the win.

"I think they wore the shirt with real pride and passion for 80 minutes," he continued.

"I think the way we defended out wide forced Leinster to play back down the middle of the pitch and the boys had to work really hard.

"It's disappointing right now because we put a lot of effort in, a lot of hard work, a lot of sacrifice and unfortunately you just get that sense that we probably should have come away with a little bit more.

"We will definitely go away and look at how we deal with certain aspects of the game, so we can turn that very close result into a win."
