Rob Elloway: Hooker joins London Welsh from Cornish Pirates
- Published
London Welsh have signed Cornish Pirates hooker Rob Elloway on loan until the end of the season.
Injuries to Nathan Vella, Nathan Taylor and Matthew Dobson left Welsh with just two fit players in the position.
Elloway, 31, scored twice in the 45-38 win against Bristol on Sunday.
"We're pleased to have Rob on board. He's been a very prominent figure in the Championship and illustrated that on the weekend" head coach Justin Burnell told the London Welsh website, external.
Germany-born Elloway made 191 appearances for the Pirates, who he joined in 2007 after playing just eight games for Premiership club Gloucester in four years with the club.
