Stuart Hooper: Bath captain signs new deal for next season

Exeter-born Stuart Hooper began his career as a teenager at Saracens

Bath captain Stuart Hooper has signed a new contract with the Premiership club for next season.

The 33-year-old lock has made 174 appearances for the club since signing from Leeds Carnegie in 2008.

"Stuart represents everything that is good about Bath Rugby," head coach Mike Ford told the club website., external "He is the best captain I've ever worked with.

"You could not ask for a better leader on the field and I am looking forward to working with him again next season."

The former Saracens player has been Bath's club captain since 2011.
