Taulupe Faletau is "really happy" at Newport Gwent Dragons, according to head coach Kingsley Jones.

The back-row forward's contract expires in June 2016 and Dragons chief Stuart Davies is "keen" to keep him.

Faletau, 24, is not among the Wales players who have signed a national dual contract and has been linked with Bath., external

"Honestly, Toby's really happy. We did bring it up a few months ago about his contract, looking to extend it even further," said ex-Wales captain Jones.

"And it's a long time to still run on his contract.

"I'm sure Toby wants to get through the World Cup before he looks at any option."

Jones is "not surprised" by Bath's reported interest in the 2013 British and Irish Lions number eight, who has won 45 Wales caps.

"Anyone would be interested in a player of Toby's qualities," former Wales flanker Jones told Scrum V.

Faletau returned from Six Nations duty off the bench for Dragons in Saturday's 32-17 Pro12 win at Treviso.

Dragons host Cardiff Blues in the European Challenge Cup quarter-finals at Rodney Parade on Saturday.
