Billy and Mako Vunipola: England pair sign new Saracens deals

England internationals Billy and Mako Vunipola have signed "multi-year" contract extensions with Premiership club Saracens.

Number eight Billy, 22, joined brother Mako, a 24-year-old loose-head prop, at Allianz Park in 2013.

"The pair of them are the cornerstones of a very exciting pack of young forwards for this club," Sarries director of rugby Mark McCall said.

"Both have achieved an incredible amount in such a short space of time."

Mako has made 72 appearances for Sarries since joining the north London club from Bristol in 2011, while Billy has featured 37 times following his move from Wasps.

Mako won the first of his 19 caps for England against Fiji in November 2012 and featured three times for the British & Irish Lions on the victorious tour of Australia in 2013.

Billy, who made his international debut against Argentina in June 2013, has won 16 caps for England and described it as "an easy decision" to extend his stay with Sarries.

"I really enjoy being at the club and I'm really happy to stay," he said.

"I want to be winning things, but also enjoy my rugby and there is a really good mix of that at Saracens.

"We are a very close group and it's great to think that we will both be part of that for the years to come."

Mako added: "There's a really good young core in the team now.

"I'm excited to see how far we can go and how we can improve as players."

Saracens have not disclosed the length of the brothers' new contracts.
