Championship club London Welsh have confirmed the departure of their chief executive Mike Stevens., external

Stevens leaves after just a year in the job and the search for his successor will begin shortly.

Welsh, who currently play their home games at Oxford's Kassam Stadium, lost all 22 league games last season and were relegated from the Premiership.

The club is understood to be in talks with "interested third parties" about a move away from Oxford for next season.
