Ireland flanker Rhys Ruddock doubt for World Cup

Rhys Ruddock was injured during the game against Uruguay on Wednesday

Ireland flanker Rhys Ruddock could miss the World Cup after suffering a possible broken arm for the second time in six months.

The Leinster player, 24, suffered the injury while captaining Emerging Ireland in the victory over Uruguay in Tbilisi, Georgia on Wednesday.

Results of an X-ray will determine if Ruddock is available for the World Cup.

Ruddock missed the Six Nations after breaking the arm in a European Champions Cup game against Harlequins.

The back row, who made his Ireland debut in 2010 and has won five caps, had additional surgery on the arm in April.
