Goal-kicking scrum-half Matt Shepherd celebrates scoring his second try for Cornwall at Twickenham last month

Cornwall scrum-half Matt Shepherd has completed a move to Plymouth Albion.

The 25-year-old told the BBC earlier this month that he might move to the Brickfields from Launceston.

Shepherd scored two tries in last month's County Championship final for Cornwall under the guidance of Albion boss Graham Dawe.

"I'm very excited and will relish the challenge ahead. I can't wait to meet up with the team and get stuck in for the coming season," Shepherd said.

Shepherd also played for England Counties on their tour of Romania earlier this month, scoring 13 points against Romania 'A'.

"Matt is a great addition to the squad and he has the ability to do well in a number of positions," said Dawe.

"He is a very fit and powerful athlete who has the ability to kick goals from long range as well as being a solid guy defensively."
