Colin Gregor won 58 caps for Scotland's sevens team

Former Scotland sevens captain Colin Gregor has retired from professional rugby due to a knee injury.

The 34-year-old won a record 58 caps for his country at that level.

Gregor represented Scotland in the Sevens World Series, where he is currently the third highest points scorer with a tally of 1345.

He played sevens for his country at the Commonwealth Games in 2006 and 2014, in addition to winning nine caps for Scotland A in the 15-a-side game.

Gregor also made over 100 appearances for Glasgow Warriors between 2004 and 2011.
