Cardiff Blues: Wilson says side missed 'golden opportunity'

Cardiff Blues missed a golden opportunity to beat Scarlets on New Year's Day, according to coach Danny Wilson.
Scarlets held on to win 15-10 despite a strong fight-back from the visitors.
A losing bonus point left the capital city region seventh in the Pro12 - nine points behind the west Wales region.
"There was a lot we can take from that game, a lot we can build on, but ultimately we have missed an opportunity" said Wilson.
"We created enough opportunities by playing some pretty good rugby at times.
"They converted two or three of maybe four line breaks to our eight and we converted one.
"That is a major frustration. In many areas we delivered - there was physicality, we put a lot of pressure on their line-out, I thought we should have got a lot more from the contact area and I thought we missed out on a couple of tight calls.
"Today was an important game; we felt we had an opportunity to get a win here, like we did last season, and we came up just short."
Blues travel to face Glasgow on Saturday, but are nine points adrift of the top four play-off places which is their goal for the campaign.
The result also saw Scarlets complete a domestic double over the Blues, after suffering two losses in the corresponding games last season.
"We're now going to Glasgow, the next team sitting above us, we have to get a win which is a big challenge but on that pitch we can hopefully get our attacking game going," Wilson added.
