Glasgow Warriors' second-row forward Brian Alainu'uese has had his ban for a dangerous charge reduced from three weeks to two after an appeal.

The incident occurred in the 35-28 win over Treviso on 31 December

The 22-year-old was ruled to have breached the law that a player "must not charge into a ruck or maul without the use of arms, or grasping a player".

Alainu'uese is now available for the Champions Cup trip to Leicester Tigers on 21 January.

The New Zealander was shown a red card for a similar offence in November against Ospreys, following a yellow card earlier that month for an elbow to the back of Scarlets' Werner Kruger.

Alainu'uese has made six appearances for Glasgow since joining from Waikato in October.
