Worcester Warriors have confirmed that Wales international Ashley Beck broke his leg during Saturday's Challenge Cup win in Paris against Stade Francais.

The 28-year-old centre sustained the injury three minutes into Warriors' 38-27 win at the Stade Jean Bouin.

Beck arrived at Sixways from Ospreys in the summer, having scored 30 tries in 137 appearances during his time with the Welsh outfit.

"We wish Ash all the best for a speedy recovery," the Warriors tweeted., external

Beck, who was making only his second start for the Warriors, has had a career blighted by a series of injuries, including a fractured ankle in 2015 and shoulder surgery last year.

He was replaced in Paris by South African Wynand Olivier, who was himself returning after almost a year out of the game with a serious hamstring injury.
