Worcester survived an Ospreys fightback to secure their second victory in the European Challenge Cup.

Jamie Shillcock's converted try put the Warriors ahead, while scores from Wynand Olivier and Jack Singleton gave the home side a 21-0 lead at half-time.

Ospreys hit back through Cory Allen and Rob McCusker's first try for the club to reduce the deficit to 21-14.

A Shillcock penalty extended the lead before Allen's second try - but another Worcester penalty secured the win.

Both sides claimed bonus-point victories in round one but Worcester now sit at the top of Pool 2.

Ospreys picked up a losing bonus point thanks to Allen's second score, running in from 50 metres after intercepting a pass from Ben Te'o.

England and Lions centre Te'o came on in the 52nd minute for his first appearance of the season ahead of his selection for England's autumn internationals.

Flanker Ted Hill, also included in England's training squad, played all 80 minutes - only his third full appearance.

Worcester head coach Rory Duncan told BBC Hereford and Worcester:

"We do feel we possibly left a little bit out there. It was a bit of a struggle. They picked up the game second half. Too many errors allowed them opportunities while we didn't finish our opportunities.

"Matti Williams is an outstanding loose forward and really put in a good performance, Matt Cox really got around and put pressure on the opposition, and Ted Hill is real quality.

"It's a great position to be in with two wins from two. It was good to see Ben Te'o back on the pitch after being out for a while. He came on in difficult circumstances when we weren't on the front foot."

Ospreys coach Allen Clarke told BBC Radio Wales:

"In the first half we stood off and probably didn't believe in ourselves enough.

"There were tactical, technical messages at half-time, but ultimately we got our mindset right and all credit to the boys for how they responded.

"We showed more of what we're about and as a result we got close to winning the game, but we're still disappointed and rightly so."
