Saracens scored 10 tries as they bounced back from last weekend's defeat at Exeter to thrash sorry Worcester.

Mako Vunipola secured a bonus point for the Premiership's bottom side just 30 minutes in and late call-up Rotimi Segun got two tries in the first half.

After leading 31-0 at the interval Saracens went on to add a further five second-half scores - with England lock Maro Itoje among those to cross.

Worcester lost replacement lock Michael Fatialofa with a suspected neck injury.

Just a minute after coming on for Graham Kitchener, the New Zealander was stretchered off after a 15-minute stoppage and was taken to hospital.

Victory leaves Mark McCall's reigning champions on -7 points, still 18 points from safety following second-bottom Leicester's win over Bristol earlier in the day.

In Saracens' first game since Thursday's resignation of long-serving chairman Nigel Wray, Ben Earl opened the scoring after a break from Alex Lozowski before Segun - starting in place of injured Scotland winger Sean Maitland - finished out wide from Elliot Daly's pass.

Brad Barritt added a third from a driving maul, and Vunipola and Segun went over either side of a yellow card for Worcester's Anton Bresler for a dangerous tackle.

The relentless hosts then matched their first-half haul of points in the second, Richard Barrington muscling over and Itoje scoring almost straight from the restart before Warriors finally got on the board.

But Duncan Taylor added an eighth after good work from Segun, Jackson Wray scored from the scrum and Daly made it double figures at the death - sprinting down the wing after some neat offloads.

Winger Ed Fidow's unconverted 56th-minute try in the corner from an Ollie Lawrence chip provided the only points for Worcester, who drop to seventh in the Premiership table, five points off the top four - and now only 24 clear of Sarries.

Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall told BBC Radio London:

"We talked about playing with some real intensity and high work-rate and that's what happened really. It's really important as we go through these months ahead that we enjoy our rugby and there was a real joy in the players, especially in the first half.

"The really positive narrative of our season has been the emergence of a lot of our younger players and the academy crop - Rotimi Segun scored a couple of tries and you've got Ben Earl and Nick Isiekwe, who were fantastic again."

(On Fatialofa injury) "Our thoughts are with Michael Fatialofa. It didn't look great. His health is the most important thing."

Worcester director of rugby Alan Solomons told BBC Hereford & Worcester:

"We were comprehensively outplayed by a side that played magnificently - so the first thing you do is give credit to your opposition. They were absolutely outstanding.

"The problem we had is we were unable to stop their momentum and, once they got that momentum and quick front-foot ball, it makes defence very difficult.

(On Fatialofa injury) "It didn't look good to me. He's gone off to hospital with our doctor. A neck injury like that is a massive concern. I'm worried about it, but I haven't had any report from the hospital."
