Jono Lance: Edinburgh's move for Australian fly-half collapses after visa refused

Edinburgh's move for fly-half Jono Lance has collapsed after the Australian failed to get a UK visa.
The Pro14 side announced the signing last month, with the caveat Lance had yet to get approval to continue to work in the UK.
The 29-year-old spent two years at Worcester having joined after winning two Super Rugby titles with the Queensland Reds and the Waratahs.
He was due to join up with Edinburgh's squad next month after leaving Sixways.
"The club wishes Jono all the best in his future ambitions and thanks him for his professionalism during this period of uncertainty regarding his signing with the club," an Edinburgh statement said, external.
Meanwhile, winger Dean Hammond, who has not been offered a new deal by Worcester, has joined ambitious Championship side Ealing Trailfinders.
Lance's deal had come to an end with Worcester, who have replaced him with Wasps stand-off Billy Searle, who will be contracted at Sixways and free to play when the season restarts on 15 August.
