Alisha Butchers joins Wales team-mate Jasmine Joyce at Bristol

Swansea-born Alisha Butchers has played for Scarlets and Worcester

Flanker Alisha Butchers is the latest Wales international to join Bristol Bears Women.

Butchers, 23, has 28 Wales caps and has been playing sevens in Australia along with Jasmine Joyce, who has also rejoined the English Premier 15s side.

Wing Joyce, 24, was a Great Britain Sevens player at the 2016 Rio Olympics and has 15 Wales 15-a-side caps.

Six other Wales internationals also recently re-signed fresh contracts with the Bristol Bears.

Another Wales international Lisa Neumann, 26, has joined Sale Sharks Women, who replaced her old club Firwood Waterloo Ladies in the top flight.

Neumann also has 15 caps for Wales.
