JJ Hanrahan: Dragons sign Clermont Auvergne's Irish fly-half for 2022-23 season

Dragons have signed Clermont Auvergne's Irish fly-half JJ Hanrahan on a "long-term" deal from next season.
The 29-year-old only moved to France from Munster last summer.
The highly-regarded player joins as competition for Wales international Sam Davies for the Dragons' number 10 shirt.
Hanrahan can also play centre and full-back. making him a versatile addition to Dean Ryan's squad.
The Gwent region have also been linked with Bath centre Max Clark and Exeter lock Sean Lonsdale and have signed Wales hooker Bradley Roberts from Ulster for 2022-23.
Dragons boss Dean Ryan said: "JJ will give us added competition for the 10 jersey and brings with him a wealth of experience, from his time at Munster to most recently in France, that will be of huge benefit to our squad.
Hanrahan said: "I'm delighted to be joining Dragons in the summer and to be moving to a region who I feel has massive potential for growth under the guidance of Dean Ryan."
He added: "I know the United Rugby Championship competition very well through my time at Munster and it's a league I'm looking forward to playing in again."
