Bristol have signed former Jersey Reds prop Sam Grahamslaw as medical cover.

The 24-year-old former Scotland Under-20, Leicester and Edinburgh loose-head was a free agent after Reds ceased trading two weeks ago.

He helped the island side win the Championship title last season and started the Premiership Rugby Cup win at Bath last month.

He joins a growing number of players from Jersey Reds finding new clubs after the collapse of the club.

"We're pleased to bring in a player of Sam's ability and potential to give us extra cover in the front row ahead of the new season," Bristol director of rugby Pat Lam said.

"Jersey had a fantastic season in 2022-23, winning the Championship title under the leadership of Harvey Biljon, and their forward pack was a key part of that.

"We saw the development of by James Dun during his time on the island, so we're excited to see how Sam progresses with the Bears."
