Connacht made it back-to-back wins at the start of the United Rugby Championship season as they came from behind to beat Glasgow 34-26 in Galway.

The hosts had to fight back from being 19-14 down at the break to win by the same scoreline as they did last week.

Diarmuid Kilgallen's two tries and one from Dylan Tierney-Martin helped the home side to victory.

Glasgow were awarded a penalty try with debutant Kyle Rowe, Tom Jordan and Jamie Dobie also crossing.

That was enough to earn the Scots a bonus point but they were not able to build on their 43-25 home win over Leinster last weekend.

A strong second-half showing won the game for Connacht as they scored 20 unanswered points in 15 minutes on their way to victory.

Summer signing JJ Hanrahan was again on form with the boot, landing three penalties inside the opening 14 minutes before the hosts gifted Glasgow a try when Forde failed to deal with Jordan's restart kick, and Rowe dribbled through to touch down.

Connacht soon went 14-7 up, with Caolin Blade's kick through sitting up nicely for Kilgallen to cross, before Glasgow drew level as Jarrad Butler conceded a penalty try, and was shown a yellow card, for side-entry.

Jordan scored to give Glasgow a five-point lead at the break but Tierney-Martin went over five minutes after the restart, with a Forde conversion and then penalty putting them 24-19 up.

Forde added a further penalty before Kilgallen intercepted a Jordan pass to run in his second try.

The visitors did not lie down, however, and Dobie finished off a good move to ensure they went home with a bonus point at least.
