Gloucester director of rugby George Skivington says he is not surprised there are rumours circulating about the future of Louis Rees-Zammit.
The Wales wing has been linked with big-money moves to France, with Top 14 sides Bordeaux and Montpellier rumoured to be interested in the 22-year-old.
Rees-Zammit scored five tries at the Rugby World Cup and produced a stunning finish for Gloucester over the weekend.
"It's that time of the year," said Skivington.
"There will be lots and lots of rumours. I'm careful what I say on these things because we're obviously talking to lots of people and there's lots of stuff in the air, but players like Zam are always going to get approaches.
"Whether you're in contract, out of contract these days, people get approached, there's negotiations and deals to be done but I'm sure there'll be lots of rumours around lots of players."
Rees-Zammit came through the Gloucester Rugby academy before making his senior debut at 18. His current contract expires at the end of the season.
"Zam loves Gloucester, there's no doubt about that and he can do special things with the ball with his out-and-out gas," added Skivington.
"That try he scored on the weekend was brilliant, managing to step in and make sure he doesn't get barrelled out.
"He carries a big profile as well, if not one of the biggest profiles in rugby.
"Like I say, there'll no doubt be loads of rumours and what not but I'll let you know if anything is or isn't happening at any point with anyone."
